The GATE Project

Talent doesn’t have borders. Opportunity shouldn’t either.

The GATE Project exists to turn ability into opportunity. We find ambitious African professionals, invest in their practical development and help them gain meaningful experience with international businesses. For a growing business, that can mean useful support on real operational problems. For an Associate, it can be a first step into a career that geography might otherwise have made difficult.

A scholarship programme built around doing, not just learning

Participants undertake approximately 100 hours of structured, practical preparation. The emphasis is on how business processes work and how to improve them using tools such as n8n, Claude, APIs and software integrations. Associates practise identifying repetitive tasks, mapping workflows, documenting decisions and building useful automations. They are developing professionals, not advertised as fully experienced senior consultants.

What businesses get

20 hours a week · 3 months

GATE Project FDE Associates typically work 20 hours a week for three months. They can contribute to defined, appropriately supervised projects such as improving data flow between systems, automating repetitive steps, documenting processes or helping teams evaluate simple AI-enabled workflows. The exact work is agreed against the Associate’s skills and capacity. The goal is practical value and professional development on both sides, not a promise of a fixed number of automations or guaranteed savings.

A three-month route with a clear price

£600 per month

3 months · £1,800 total, subject to any applicable tax

Normally 20 hours per week

A standard FDE Associate placement costs £600 per month for three months, a total of £1,800, subject to any applicable tax. That is a genuine three-month commitment and normally covers 20 hours per week. It is distinct from GATE Talent’s six or twelve-month placements with experienced professionals.

How you secure your chosen Associate

  1. Step 1

Discuss the outcome you want and review suitable FDE Associate profiles.

  2. Step 2

Interview the candidates and select the person you would like to work with.

  3. Step 3

Receive a secure link to pay the first £600 placement instalment by card. This is your first month’s fee, not an additional deposit.

  4. Step 4

After confirmed payment, accepted placement terms and a final availability check, GATE confirms the Associate and start date.

  5. Step 5

Our finance team immediately issues invoices for months two and three, with their separate monthly due dates. You pay them when due, not at the point they are issued.

The impact is a real person, not a marketing statistic

For each Associate, practical client experience can build confidence, a portfolio of real work and a stronger foundation for future employment. For employers, it offers a manageable way to begin improving workflows while supporting access to international opportunity. GATE Project funds are reinvested into its not-for-profit mission. We publish verified programme outcomes where evidence is available, rather than invented impact figures.

See the work, hear the stories

We document the training process and the journey of Associates through interviews, project demonstrations and our Build with Dean and GATE video content.

Interested in an Associate?

Start with a call so we can understand the work, check available candidates and advise whether a Project Associate is the right fit. Once you select a specific person, you can secure the placement through the first-month payment process. Booking a call does not itself reserve a candidate.
